The Prince Edward Island Golf Association has released details for the 2013 King of Club’s Senior Tour . The competitive program for senior men includes 13 tournaments with the first event scheduled for Monday May 13th at the Countryview Golf Course.
The King of Club’s Senior Tour is divided into a spring and fall schedule with no tournaments in July and August . The Tour concludes on October 7th at Belvedere with a season ending awards luncheon . Over the course of the season the Tour will stop at some outstanding Island courses with most tournaments scheduled for either Monday or Tuesday . Players may choose to play in as many tournaments as they wish. The King of Clubs Senior Tour is coordinated by past P.E.I.G.A. President , Cliff Goodwin.
“ Our Senior Tour has been growing steadily over the last number of years with players coming from clubs all across the province to play . We have a number of very fine senior players and the King of Club’s Tour gives them an opportunity to stay competitive “ said P.E.I.G.A. Executive Director , Ron MacNeill.
The King of Clubs Senior Tour is open to players aged 55-64 and super seniors aged 65 and over. Points accumulated through the events are used to determine the Senior and Super Senior Player’s of the Year.
